Mold Maker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team at Randstad US. As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for building small to medium size precision Die Cast Dies and Plastic Injection Molds from tooling drawings and piece part prints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in running Lathes, Surface Grinders, Milling machines.
  • Experience with sinker EDM Machines and electrode construction.
  • Ability to read engineering piece part prints, have mathematical skills and measuring skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mold problems and make the corrections needed.
  • Ability to make replacement inserts for molds.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in mold making.
  • Ability to work in a smoke-free environment.
  • Willingness to wear steel toe shoes.
  • Ability to work up to 5 hours of overtime per week.

Skills:

  • Metalworking skills.
  • Mold making experience.
  • Die-casting and injection molding experience.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • EDM machine operation skills.
