Mold Maker

A long-established company in Grayslake, IL is looking for a Mold Maker to join their 1st shift team This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity

Requirements of the Mold Maker

  • Ability to read engineering piece part prints
  • Previous experience building small to medium-sized precision Die Cast Dies and Plastic Injection Molds from tooling drawings and piece part prints
  • Ability to build fixtures for manufacturing assembly machines preferred
  • Experience running Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Milling Machines

Responsibilities of the Mold Maker

  • Plans machining by analyzing work orders, blueprints, sketches, models, and/or descriptions to determine dimensions and setup requirements
  • Determine specifications for inspection of work, using full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before, during and after machining
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and surface grinder to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications
  • Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust machine controls as required

Schedule is 1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $35.00 - $37.88 an hour, based on experience
