Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physicians with Patient Care: Collaborate with physicians to provide routine, standardized nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Coordinate Patient Appointments: Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to the hospital, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage Medical Supplies and Equipment: Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into the patient chart, ensuring all required records are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and families, promoting positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and support.
  • Prepare Exam Rooms: Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patient care.
  • Manage Clinically Related Calls: Receive and return clinically related telephone calls, screening and forwarding those requiring physician action, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Complete Medical History Forms: Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Inform Physicians of Schedule Changes: Inform physicians of changes in schedule, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Post-High School Education: Possess a post-high school education up to 18 months in an accredited school of nursing.
  • South Carolina LPN License: Hold a valid South Carolina LPN license (Lawson Code NLPN).
  • CPR Certification: Possess current CPR certification.
