Medical Assistant Role

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team at Harvard Park. As a vital member of our physician-led network, you will contribute to providing high-quality patient care and support.

About the Job

The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers to deliver excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients, preparing them for appointments, and verifying their information.
  • Documenting accurate and complete vital signs.
  • Populating electronic medical records with relevant patient information.
  • Assisting providers during exams and treatments, performing point-of-care tests as needed.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A degree from an accredited healthcare program, such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications must be maintained according to state guidelines.
  • Nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in EMR systems.
  • Some MA experience is necessary.
  • A Current BLS card.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics and familiarity with Athenahealth practice management system would be beneficial.

Estimated salary: $20 - $26 / hour. This range reflects the typical compensation for candidates hired based on specific skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in similar roles.
