Veterinary Care Specialist

Park Hill Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care to our patients.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:
As a Veterinary Care Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and treat dogs, cats, and smaller furry animals. You will perform surgeries, treat wounds, prescribe medications, and spay/neuter pets.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Treat Small Animal Cases: Use your expertise to diagnose and manage a variety of small animal cases, including dental procedures and vaccinations.
- Perform Surgeries: Conduct small animal surgical procedures, such as spays and neuters.
- Administer Vaccinations: Ensure our patients receive necessary vaccinations to maintain their health.
- Prescribe Medication: Accurately prescribe medication to our patients based on their needs.
- Collaborate with Specialists: Work closely with mobile surgical and internal medicine specialists to provide comprehensive care.
- Advise Pet Owners: Educate pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being.
- Update Client Records: Maintain accurate client records to ensure seamless communication.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree: Hold a DVM degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous Experience: Possess previous work experience as a veterinarian or be a new graduate willing to learn.
- Knowledge of Medical Equipment: Familiarity with medical equipment and anesthesia procedures.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Effectively communicate complex medical concepts to clients.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address patient concerns.
