Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Sheboygan County, WI. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to residents, maintain communication between health care workers, and supervise the daily work assignments and care plans of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and document health status, provide care and treatment in accordance with physician orders and standards of practice
  • Communicate changes with the health care team, family, and resident
  • Understand and promote the concept of individualized nursing care for diversified populations
  • Attend ongoing in-service education programs provided by the facility
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited/licensed school of nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
  • Prior experience in geriatrics, medical, surgical, psychiatric, or with developmentally disabled preferred
  • Ability to handle crisis intervention situations as directed, plan and direct the work of others, and effectively carry out instructions
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing conversation in noisy and quiet environments, locating a sound source, and differentiating among non-speech sounds.

Ability to adapt to changes in daily work hours and schedule. Initiate timely emergency resuscitation measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols. Risk of blood-borne pathogen exposure is considered high.
