The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customer deposition processes and hardware development, including new development and continuous improvement projects. They will work closely with customers to design and conduct experiments to meet their needs, analyze current baseline processes and system performance, and identify gaps with respect to technology node requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or physics, with 7-10 years of industry experience in processing, developing, and characterizing thin films deposited in thermal ALD, plasma-enhanced ALD, plasma-enhanced CVD, Epitaxy, or LPCVD/vertical furnace reactors. They will also have experience with advanced troubleshooting methodologies, designing and conducting experiments, and resolving escalations.

The Principal Field Process Engineer will be responsible for process transfer to HVM fabs and transfer of product knowledge to the local service organization. They will document and maintain process and hardware learnings from the development phase and develop/transfer best known methods (BKMs) to the HVM site teams.
