Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse for Clinical Operations. This full-time position entails working five 8-hour shifts, which include three weekdays and two weekend days.

As a vital member of the Clinical Operations Department, the Pediatric Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in our Patient-Centered Primary Care Home. The primary responsibilities include:
  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the immediate needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, or adolescents.
  • Escorting patients to examination rooms while gathering medical histories and vital signs.
  • Administering screening tests and interpreting results as necessary.
  • Providing essential medical information during patient visits.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records, reflecting the care provided and patient responses.
  • Effectively planning, organizing, and prioritizing nursing care.
  • Administering treatments as prescribed by physicians promptly and accurately.
  • Forecasting and administering pediatric immunizations competently.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Educating patients and families on health-related topics.
  • Monitoring and managing the inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintaining current clinical skills and knowledge of nursing trends.
  • Assisting in the orientation of new staff members.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
Education & Certification: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Oregon, in good standing, along with a valid Oregon Driver's License.

Experience: Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is required, with preference given to candidates experienced in Epic and MS Office. Bilingual candidates in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements: The role involves frequent walking, standing, and reaching. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as necessary.

Working Conditions: Employees may encounter various physical conditions, including proximity to mechanical parts and exposure to chemicals. Compliance with OSHA regulations regarding exposure to blood and infectious materials is mandatory.
