Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve operational challenges while proposing effective solutions.
  • Innovate and test advanced solutions for integration into current systems and equipment.
  • Create comprehensive installation and testing protocols for system enhancements.
  • Oversee all verification processes, ensuring thorough testing phases are completed.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies within operational settings.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for the production of prototypes and manufacturing units, including the formulation of Manufacturing Specifications.
  • Investigate emerging technologies for potential integration into the ASR-9 systems.
  • Offer second-level engineering support for ASR-9 modifications, providing assistance either onsite or remotely.
  • Deliver second-level maintenance and engineering support for data management and operational subsystems of the ASR-9.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert leadership and technical guidance to team members.
  • Facilitate and lead technical meetings for knowledge exchange.
  • Engage in formal and informal reviews throughout the development cycle.
  • Contribute to technical guidance and process improvement initiatives.
  • This role may involve occasional travel to various Radar Sites to assist local technicians with equipment maintenance and modifications.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Experienced in analyzing existing requirements, testing protocols, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma/GED with ten (10) years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five (5) years in NAS, OR
  • Associate degree in a related discipline with eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in NAS, OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with six (6) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in NAS.
