Position Overview
You will engage closely with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the development and enhancement of strategic Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) initiatives, including fielding and sustainment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
You will provide expert guidance and insights to the JSF Program leadership team regarding the viability of significant IT decisions and investments, ensuring ongoing strategic planning.

You will assist the leadership team in documenting, presenting, and justifying IT budgets and specific capital planning initiatives to the Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.

You will participate as a member of Department of Defense (DoD) and inter-agency panels and working groups focused on evaluating technologies and standards relevant to IT resources and operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Must enroll in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New hires to the Department of the Navy must successfully complete the E-Verify employment verification process.
  • Retired military members must adhere to specific provisions regarding civilian positions.
  • Males born after a certain date must be registered for Selective Service.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to commencing duties. Failure to secure and uphold the necessary clearance may lead to job offer withdrawal or termination.

This role is classified within the Cyberspace Workforce, specifically as an IT Program Manager at a basic proficiency level. The incumbent must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoD Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

This position falls under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the assigned Acquisition Functional Area is mandatory within established timeframes.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required, and failure to report or pass the test will result in rescinding a tentative job offer. Random testing will be enforced.

This role may necessitate travel from the primary duty station to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and may involve extended periods of travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience in information technology within federal service or equivalent sectors, showcasing the following competencies:

  2. Customer Service: Ability to work with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
  3. Oral Communication: Effectively expressing information to individuals or groups, considering the audience.

Additionally, your resume must illustrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including:

  1. Analyzing IT policy and planning issues to resolve challenges.
  2. Conducting comprehensive reviews to identify underperforming program elements and directing corrective actions.
  3. Leading IT system development projects to ensure effective network environments.
  4. Conducting technical analyses to evaluate performance enhancements against resource constraints.
  5. Briefing leadership on IT program specifics, including requirements and operational aspects.
