Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as an Assistant Product Manager while refraining from performing any duties that are inherently governmental.
- Coordinating and formulating procedures related to financial oversight, acquisition, implementation, distribution, and logistical support for hardware, software, supplies, and services essential to projects.
- Planning, executing, and/or directing intricate reviews and generating reports for higher command, providing recommendations on optimal courses of action.
- Evaluating and analyzing project development, progress, and performance. Facilitating periodic reviews with relevant stakeholders to assess project status and major milestones, ensuring smooth coordination of all actions, identifying potential cost increases, and determining necessary actions to maintain or enhance project timelines.
- Reviewing and overseeing all critical project documentation.
- Organizing and assessing the work of team members and organizations involved in the project. Utilizing extensive program management knowledge to effectively manage and administer assigned projects.
- Conducting stakeholder engagements at various organizational levels.
- Reviewing program documentation and making strategic decisions regarding long-term plans, policies, and schedules to enhance the programmatic and technical efficiency of the management team.
- Developing innovative approaches for various short-term and long-term projects and presenting them to the PL SSW leadership for approval. Advising the PL SSW and project management team on program and financial management, engineering development, and logistical support for assigned projects.
- Providing guidance to project-supporting activities to ensure an appropriate balance aligned with requirements and available resources.
- Submitting proposals for new opportunities and reporting user/customer issues or opportunities to PL SSW leadership.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Recent experience in program/product management supporting the delivery of program of record or Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Program Management (PMP or DAWIA Level 3) and comprehensive program management principles and practices, including budgeting, planning, staffing, funding, and resource management for matrix, support contractors, and external PMs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong charting skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, proven verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate within multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in acquisition program management.
Clearance:
- Must possess a current Secret clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Familiarity with intelligence and electronic warfare technologies.
Other Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to work in an office/lab environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to Army and contractor locations within the continental United States.
