Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Davis County Health Department, Senior Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional nutrition services to older adults, including one-on-one counseling and group education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct nutritional risk assessments for older adults
• Evaluate physical, medical, financial, and nutritional history information to determine eligibility for Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels)
• Document visits, nutritional counseling, and client progress towards goals
• Provide information on program services, instructions for canceling meals, reheating meals, and requirements to participants
• Refer clients to appropriate community partners and other Aging Programs
• Provide nutritional counseling and class instruction for the needs of the older adult population

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics
• Licensure as a Certified Dietitian by the State of Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing
• Preference for experience working with older adults, in the field of older adult nutrition, and in home settings
• Must pass a criminal history background investigation
