Pediatric Registered Nurse

Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Pediatric Registered Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care to our young patients, ensuring their health and well-being in a supportive environment.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Responsibilities

The Pediatric Registered Nurse will:
  • Deliver direct nursing care in line with established policies and protocols.
  • Implement and oversee patient care plans, monitoring and documenting patient conditions as necessary.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
  • Assess and facilitate patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Current BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse credential from the Illinois Board of Nursing required prior to employment.

Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited nursing school or professional licensure at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Success Factors:
Experience in pediatric nursing or pediatric inpatient care is highly valued.

Main Duties:
Responsibilities include extensive computer work, managing prior authorizations, medication refills, patient rooming, and conducting in-office testing and procedures.
