A leading Non-Profit Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Behavioral Health Clinic in Maryland is seeking a psychiatrist to join their team.
Position OverviewThe clinic provides outpatient mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children, and is seeking a psychiatrist to work collaboratively within the Mobile Treatment Team to provide culturally competent Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder services.
Responsibilities- Provide psychopharmacologic treatment and monthly assessment of symptoms, response to medications, and side effects.
- Offer brief therapy and medication education with decisions based on shared decision making.
- Monitor non-psychiatric medical conditions and medications, and communicate directly with inpatient psychiatric providers for continuity of care.
- Collaborate with Team Leader in sharing clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and service delivery.
- Educate non-medical staff regarding medications and side effects, and attend daily team meetings in proportion to time allocated on the team.
- Collaborate in providing services to clients in acute behavioral health crises, and complete all client documentation while maintaining client confidentiality.
The clinic operates several outpatient facilities throughout the State of Maryland, offering a part-time or full-time option with flexibility to create your work schedule between 16 and 40 hours per week, providing excellent work-life balance.
The psychiatrist has the option to take on a leadership/director role if interested, and will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary staff of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, and professional counselors to provide comprehensive care to clients.
