- Execute tasks outlined in the repair order efficiently and in line with dealership standards.
- Conduct test drives and evaluate components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
- Identify, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Engage directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional services required, providing estimates for the time needed for extra repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Preferred experience of 2+ years in an Automobile Dealership Service Technician role.
- General Motors Technician Training is a plus.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with ASE Certification.
- B level qualifications, including expertise in Diagnostics, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
- Ability to demonstrate dexterity, requiring steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic tools.
- Exceptional customer service abilities and basic computer skills.
- A positive and friendly demeanor, with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Enjoyment of a dynamic work environment.
- Team player capable of effective collaboration.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, repair methods, and specifications.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Prepared to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- Provision of personal protective equipment.
- Implementation of social distancing protocols.
- Regular sanitization procedures.
