Accounting Manager Opportunity

At Jobot, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a fundamental role in our financial management, which includes all corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements, payroll, vendor accounts, and treasury accounts.
  • Research and resolve accounting matters in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Analyze financial data and create monthly reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.
  • Assist in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with a software system implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
