Job Overview

PVI CM Inc. is actively searching for skilled HVAC Electricians across various levels, including Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 (Journeyman), and Level 4 (Lead). These roles are essential in supporting our HVAC Electrical team in a range of commercial and industrial projects, focusing on the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

For Level 1:

  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards clients and their environments.
  • Ensure job sites are kept clean and organized.
  • Familiarize with project materials and maintain an orderly workspace.
  • Acquire necessary skills for tasks such as conduit bending, threading, installation, and proper tool usage.
  • Utilize digital tools for scheduling and task management.
  • Be available for project support and emergencies outside regular hours.

For Level 2:

  • Meet Level 1 qualifications and manage tools and materials effectively.
  • Oversee project production and adhere to client standards.
  • Develop skills for the professional installation of electrical equipment in compliance with the NEC.
  • Learn additional skills beyond typical HVAC electrician duties.
  • Engage in equipment alarming circuits and network configuration.
  • Gain proficiency in HVAC controller programming and heavy equipment operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Report progress and potential issues to Level 3 and above.

For Level 3 (Journeyman):

  • Fulfill Level 2 requirements and possess a journeyman license with four years of experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints and understand NEC regulations.
  • Execute conduit runs, install junction boxes, and manage various electrical equipment.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed during equipment operation.
  • Address installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems for clients.

For Level 4 (Lead):

  • Exhibit Level 3 qualifications with a comprehensive understanding of electrical theory and codes.
  • Lead teams in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Document daily work and safety procedures meticulously.
  • Utilize electrical testing instruments and tools effectively.
  • Assist in project planning and communicate with clients regarding project specifics.
  • Calculate wire sizes and conduit requirements accurately.
Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • For Level 2: 2-4 years of electrical experience.
  • For Level 3: A journeyman license and four years of experience.
  • For Level 4: 5-7 years of electrical experience and a current Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • Leadership skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
