Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is integral to delivering exceptional, patient-focused healthcare services within our organization. Reporting to the supervising physician or clinical manager, the NP offers comprehensive primary and/or specialty care to patients of all ages. This role demands a high degree of clinical proficiency, independence, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

  • In collaboration with the physician or medical director, the NP assumes clinical responsibility for tasks within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice, which includes: gathering patient histories, conducting physical assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses, and managing care for common illnesses and preventive health in both pediatric and adult populations.
  • The NP may assist with patient admissions, transfers, or discharges from the healthcare system.
  • Facilitates appropriate referrals to specialists and community resources.
  • Engages in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to formulate care plans for patients and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program for nurse practitioners.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.

Compact state or Arizona RN license, Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license, valid DEA registration, and national certification as a nurse practitioner in the relevant specialty under Arizona regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d.) NP-PNCB.
