Salary Range:
The anticipated salary for an initial appointment is approximately $66,259. Please refer to the Unit 18 Lecturer table for the complete salary range applicable to this role. These positions are academic year appointments and are subject to standard academic review processes. Salary is adjusted based on instructional workload calculations.

This role is intended for the academic year.

The School of Natural Sciences is looking to appoint both full-time and part-time instructors to teach various subjects during the academic year:
- Biostatistics
- Preparatory Calculus
- Calculus I & II
- Introduction to Scientific Data Analysis
- Statistics for Scientific Data Analysis
- Calculus I & II for Physical Sciences
- Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations
- Probability and Statistics
- Numerical Analysis
- Additional courses as required
In addition to delivering the courses, the instructor will be responsible for assessing student assignments and examinations, calculating and posting grades, and maintaining regular office hours each week.
This is a limited-term appointment governed by the agreement between the University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Employment terms and conditions are subject to UC policies and relevant collective bargaining agreements.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
A graduate degree in Applied Mathematics or a related discipline, along with experience in teaching at the collegiate or university level, is essential.
