Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Kenworth of Louisiana. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Efficiently perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment according to dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions following OEM guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary components and work collaboratively with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure safety issues are addressed and recommend additional service when necessary, while maintaining high-quality workmanship and adhering to dealership standards.
  • Documentation and Training: Accurately document all work performed and attend and complete all required training to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Experience and Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or trade school certification, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication and documentation skills.
