Certified Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. As a respiratory care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure, to evaluate the need for respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy, to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Assist with the placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation as needed.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as necessary in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
- CRT license issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory program.
- Ability to work nights and rotating weekends.
