Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality images.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination, ensuring accurate patient data and image transfer.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, maintaining a clean and orderly department.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment functionality, reporting potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a radiology program
  • ARRT-MR certification
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
