Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Care Team. Our Pediatric Unit is equipped with 8 beds, with the potential to accommodate up to 10, ensuring a staffing ratio of typically 1:1 or 1:2.
This unit caters to a diverse age range from infants to young adults (0-18 years) and manages a variety of medical conditions, excluding cardiac surgery and dialysis.
The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role as a leader within the healthcare team at Novant Health, fostering genuine relationships with patients and their support systems. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans that enhance health outcomes or provide comfort during end-of-life care. Utilizing evidence-based practices and compassion, the Registered Nurse guides patients through their healthcare journeys.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management and delivery of care in alignment with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivation.
To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience:
Preferred: One year of relevant nursing experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required. Refer to essential functions for additional requirements.
