Position Overview

As a vital member of the Financial Aid team, you will provide guidance and support to students and their families regarding financial assistance eligibility, loan requirements, and unique circumstances. Your role will involve:

  • Advising students on financial aid options and processes.
  • Conducting presentations on scholarships and financial aid to diverse audiences.
  • Analyzing and reviewing reports to assess eligibility for various financial aid programs.
  • Applying established financial aid policies to manage student records effectively.

Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience in interpreting and applying complex regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve issues.
  • Experience with computerized record systems for data entry and retrieval.
  • Ability to compile and organize data into comprehensive reports.

Educational Background

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Master's degree in student personnel, counseling, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with federal financial aid regulations and university scholarship programs.
  • Experience with financial aid packaging and working with students.
  • Proficiency in software such as SCT Banner, Excel, and word processing applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with a diverse population.
  • Capacity to work independently on projects.

  • No specific physical requirements.
