Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Nemak as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing major capital equipment and tooling projects, ensuring they meet company standards and program timing plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage major capital equipment and tooling projects, including machining, part washing, assembly, leak detection, gauging, automation, and packaging.
  • CNC Tooling and Fixturing: Develop and expand on CNC tooling and fixturing initiatives, applying best practices to upcoming programs.
  • Technical Development: Lead company technical development for new technologies related to machining, automation, and assembly.
  • Capability Analysis: Perform capability analysis and review on all new capital equipment.
  • Estimating Support: Support the Estimating department in defining technical requirements for tool quotes and assessing feasibility.
  • Program Requirements: Lead new program requirements and communication for machining and secondary operations, ensuring a robust process.
  • Plant Productivity: Provide plant productivity support for automation and plant engineering, applying lean activities.
Position Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates degree required.
  • CNC Programming Experience: Preferred experience in CNC programming.
  • Tool Design and Fixture Design Experience: Preferred experience in tool design and fixture design.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Robot Studio, NX, and basic SAP experience.
