Job Summary

The Electrical Project Engineer plays a crucial role in the success of Plastics Engineering Company (PLENCO) by overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and projects. Reporting directly to the Director of Plant Maintenance and Engineering, this position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Design and Development
    • Analyze electrical requirements for projects and develop specifications, estimates, and cost analyses.
    • Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and production personnel to design and automate plant equipment.
  • Project Coordination and Management
    • Conceive and propose ideas to improve quality, safety, productivity, and profitability.
    • Develop computer programs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial control computers.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Work with the Maintenance Department to install, start up, and repair plant electrical equipment.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance and calibration programs for plant equipment.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical support to production regarding equipment and facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-plus years of experience in the manufacturing field (preferred).
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
