Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Moncks Corner Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, triaging, and treating patients of all ages presenting for emergency care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your critical thinking skills to prioritize patients, manage care, and make decisions that impact patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and triage patients, prioritizing those with critical needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices
  • Document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
  • Previous experience in emergency nursing, critical care, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and make decisions in a high-pressure situation
