Postdoctoral Fellowship in Juvenile Forensics

Are you ready to gain experience in forensic psychology and make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and families involved in the juvenile justice system?

The Postdoctoral Fellowship in Juvenile Forensics at Behavioral Health Network (BHN) offers a unique opportunity to learn about the intricacies of the juvenile justice system and the roles that Psychologists can play within it. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the chance to conduct evaluations in Western Massachusetts, working with a multi-disciplinary team to assess clinical issues and their impact on forensic matters before the Court.

During your fellowship, you will develop advanced skills in forensic clinical assessment, learning how to communicate your findings and offer opinions in a clear and concise format that can be used by legal professionals. You will also gain an understanding of the relevant legal and mental health systems, as well as the opportunity to make recommendations for interventions and provide clinical consultation to judges, attorneys, and probation officers.

The primary goal of this postdoctoral training program is to provide advanced training in a highly specialized field of professional psychology. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will develop a thorough knowledge of mental health law and learn how to apply psychological principles within forensic evaluations.

BHN's Juvenile Court Clinic is a highly respected program that consists of a multi-disciplinary professional team. Our team members are approachable, collaborative, and knowledgeable, and we are dedicated to supporting the learning and growth of adolescents and families who are court involved.

We are seeking a Doctorate in Psychology, with APA-accredited Internship completed, who has experience working with children and families, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a genuine desire to be a team player.
