Role Overview
As a Bilingual Automotive Service Consultant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience. We are in search of energetic individuals with a strong focus on customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers as they arrive in the service area.
- Engage with customers empathetically regarding their vehicle needs.
- Propose solutions and additional services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Draft detailed service orders following initial assessments, ensuring clarity on customer concerns.
- Provide timely updates on the status of each service order and communicate any changes.
- Review quality control reports to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle financial transactions efficiently.
- Assist all clients in selecting recommended services in a courteous and professional manner.
- Utilize a comprehensive vehicle inspection process to educate customers about their vehicle's condition and build rapport.
- Prepare service estimates for customers.
- Organize appointments and maintain an efficient scheduling system.
- Conduct follow-ups post-service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Uphold the dealership's standards of quality and integrity.
- Analyze situations and evaluate options to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a service advisor role is preferred.
- A self-driven, goal-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to understand and follow instructions provided in various formats.
- Proficient computer and phone skills.
- A valid driving record.
- A professional appearance and work ethic.
- All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment assessments, including background checks and drug screenings.
The physical demands of this position include:
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.
- Capacity to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms.
- Ability to bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Safe operation and driving of vehicles or equipment as required.
