The Clinical Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, conducting pre-exam diagnostic tests, and explaining each step of the process.
Key Responsibilities- Complete patient registration and gather pertinent patient information, including medical history and ocular health data.
- Assist onsite doctors with patient care and eye examinations, clearly explaining the preliminary testing process to patients.
- For remote appointments, the Clinical Specialist will assist patients through the remote eye exam process, including pre-testing, specialty testing, and documenting results.
- Initiate remote technician and doctor video conferencing, and assist with additional testing required for a remote exam.
- Transition patients to retail associates, conveying doctor recommendations and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain patient flow to allow for doctor effectiveness, answer clinical questions, and triage ocular emergencies.
- Ensure a clean and healthy environment for patients by maintaining doctor equipment and clinical supplies.
- One year of related experience in optical or healthcare.
- Optical or healthcare background preferred.
- Medical office/business professionalism required.
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
The Clinical Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, using computers, electronics, and pre-testing instruments. The associate must be able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
BenefitsVisionworks offers competitive pay and benefits, including a minimum pay rate of $16.25 per hour plus incentive. Starting pay may vary based on experience to a maximum of $24.38 per hour. Incentive pay, wage upgrades, and overtime opportunities are also available.
