We are an award-winning provider of safe, high-quality care, serving Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties. Our network of hospitals and healthcare facilities includes Denville Hospital, Dover Hospital, and Behavioral Health Centers in Boonton, Denville, and Parsippany.

Responsibilities

As a Peer Advocate, you will participate in the Early Intervention Services Team to provide crisis intervention, education, and support services to consumers of mental health services. You will work with adult patients, providing education and support to consumers and/or their families.

You will also participate as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team, providing care to adult patients and working to prevent hospitalization and unnecessary use of psychiatric screening and emergency services.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated volunteer or paid work experience with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
