We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Fills medication orders, charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
- Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds and enters TPN orders into the computer system.
- Maintains competency in professional growth and responsibilities.
- Ensures customer service and teamwork while conducting responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice.
- 1 year Hospital experience preferred.
