We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant at Integrea Community Mental Health Systems in Opelika, AL. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life by providing supervision and ensuring the safety of our consumers at our residential facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (or transcripts) from a state-accredited school or source and a current, valid driver's license. They should also be able to demonstrate basic computer skills.

This position includes direct care of our individuals living in a residential group home. The responsibilities include meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, personal care, medication administration, accurately and timely documentation of logbooks and activities, and transportation of clients with approved driving records. Assigned duties may vary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consumer Care: Supervises consumer activities, including completion of daily chores, outings, training, grooming, bathing, toileting, meal-time activities. Ensures consumer safety. Follows a schedule of activities. Assists consumers as needed. Monitors consumer physical and mental health, ensuring that consumer needs are met and maintained.
  • Program Services: Assists in implementation of the consumer's treatment, habilitation, and/or service plans. Leads groups as assigned. Implements behavior management procedures as assigned and/or as indicated by a contingency program or the individual's behavior plan.

Compensation: $10.75-$15.00 per hour. Full-time benefits include BCBS Health and Dental Insurance, Retirement Systems of Alabama (ERS) Employees' Retirement System, 12 Paid Holidays, Earned Sick and Vacation Time, Paid job training, and more.

Work Schedule: Available shifts include 2nd, 3rd, and Weekend shifts. Schedules vary with program. An example of a 2nd shift is 3pm-11pm, 3rd shift is 11pm-7am, and weekend variable.
