Pediatric Cardiac Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiac Nurse to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a Pediatric Cardiac Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration and wound care
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required, Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
  • BLS/PALS/ACLS
  • 2 yrs pediatric cardiac stepdown experience
