This position is part of the Finance CRO - Capital and RWA Actuals Review Team (CRRT), tasked with conducting independent evaluations and monitoring of the comprehensive verification process related to capital calculations and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with Basel Rules and applicable guidelines for Citigroup, Inc. and Citibank, N.A.

The Finance CRO - CRRT operates as a global unit with team members located in various regions. Collaborations across different review areas occur throughout the year, providing a unique opportunity for in-depth experience with Basel regulations and significant exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Execute reviews in accordance with the annual review plans established by the Finance CRO Capital and RWA Actuals Review Team (Finance CRO CRRT).

+ Proactively communicate testing progress and any exceptions to the Finance CRO - CRRT management.

+ Assist in implementing necessary changes to improve the second line of defense oversight of the RWA production process, aligning with ongoing transformation efforts and adapting to evolving regulatory requirements, including Basel IV initiatives.

+ Cultivate strong working relationships with Capital Controllers Group process owners, including the Quality Assurance team and other key stakeholders involved in the capital and RWA production processes.

Qualifications:

+ Exceptional communication skills, encompassing well-developed verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

+ Strong analytical capabilities with a proficiency in reviewing and interpreting extensive data sets.

+ Keen attention to detail, with a proven capacity to articulate complex concepts in straightforward terms.

+ Previous experience in Basel Regulatory Capital Controllers, Regulatory Capital Reporting (e.g., FFIEC 101, FR Y-9C, etc.), or Basel Regulatory Capital Audit functions is preferred.

+ A solid understanding of Basel RWA regulations is essential, along with a beneficial knowledge of market risk and forthcoming changes in Basel 3.

+ A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in the financial services sector or a comparable role.

+ Strong audit instincts and the ability to apply independent judgment to business practices, with a proven willingness to challenge existing norms.

+ A self-motivated individual capable of managing work independently and driving multiple deliverables simultaneously.

+ An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA, CA, or CFA is preferred.
