Pay: $49.62 / hour. Compensation is based on the applicant's relevant experience.

Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, adhering to the established scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of UCHealth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements, and assesses patient care plans informed by patient evaluations to enhance outcomes and optimize resource utilization.
  • Observes, documents, and communicates patient status as necessary. Collaborates across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Identifies educational needs of patients and/or families, providing tailored education that considers age, culture, condition, and specific circumstances.
  • Delegates patient care tasks effectively to support staff. May mentor student nurses and new team members.
  • Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to various situations.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification and any relevant life support certifications as required for the position.
  • Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.

    ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer must be valid prior to the start date. BLS or CPR certification must remain valid for at least sixty days post-hire.
