We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a member of our medical group practice, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications and performing therapeutic procedures.
- Use standards of care and practice to guide care delivery, ensuring accurate and safe administration of medications.
- Consult with providers and registered nurses to seek guidance and supervision as needed.
- Obtain medical information from patients, take vital signs, and record data in patient medical records.
- Work closely with office assistants and physicians to facilitate patient clinic visits, ensuring patient charts are available and escorting patients to and from exam rooms.
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing or appropriate state board.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, toxins, and chemicals.
The work environment is a standard clinical setting with a high volume of patients. The position requires heavy physical demands, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
