Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that nursing care is meeting the needs of residents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Current unencumbered RN license.
  • CPR certification.
  • Five years of experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly.
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of supervisory experience.
