Job Overview

Position Summary

This role involves managing all aspects of procurement, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Processing daily purchase orders, drop shipments, and urgent requests.
  • Resolving issues related to purchase orders.
  • Monitoring unconfirmed purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement Activities

  1. Create purchase orders for new products by assigning appropriate vendors and pricing to sales orders utilizing the Dynamics purchasing system.
  2. Verify purchase orders for accuracy in pricing, part numbers, and lead times, ensuring timely follow-up with vendors to confirm order processing and adherence to delivery schedules.
  3. Address discrepancies regarding pricing, part numbers, and lead times; make necessary adjustments to purchase and sales orders.
  4. Assist in the maintenance and cleanup of the business system database.
  5. Support customer expedites as necessary, liaising with vendors and addressing inquiries about purchases in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner. Collaborate with the expediting team to enhance purchasing delivery and exceed customer expectations.
  6. Proactively place purchase orders through online platforms.
Documentation Management
  • Purchase orders are stored in our database, and daily updates on confirmations are maintained in an Excel spreadsheet.
Performance Metrics
  1. This position is expected to complete a minimum of 25% of daily purchase orders.
Responsibilities may be adjusted as needed, and additional tasks may be assigned.

Education & Experience
