Job Overview

Position Summary

Standard Working Hours

As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing operations, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Creating daily purchase orders, handling drop shipments, and processing rush orders.
  • Resolving purchase order discrepancies.
  • Monitoring unconfirmed purchase orders.
Core Responsibilities

Purchasing Operations

  1. Generate purchase orders for new inventory by selecting appropriate vendors and pricing in our purchasing system.
  2. Verify purchase orders to ensure accuracy in pricing, part numbers, and lead times, maintaining consistent follow-up with vendors to guarantee timely processing and delivery.
  3. Address any discrepancies related to pricing, part numbers, and lead times; make necessary adjustments to purchase or sales orders.
  4. Assist in the maintenance and cleanup of the business system database.
  5. Support customer and vendor inquiries regarding purchases, ensuring timely and professional communication via various channels. Collaborate with the expediting team to enhance delivery performance and meet customer expectations.
  6. Proactively place orders through vendor websites.
Documentation Management
  • All purchase orders are recorded in our database, with daily updates on confirmations maintained in an Excel spreadsheet.
Performance Metrics
  1. This role requires the completion of at least 25% of daily purchase orders.
Responsibilities may evolve over time, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
