Job Title: Senior Transportation Project Engineer or Manager

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Engineer or Manager to join our Transportation team in Bowling Green, Ohio.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead project teams and contribute to the growth and development of our Ohio Transportation team. As a Senior Transportation Project Engineer or Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading project teams to accomplish task assignments related to highway projects
  • Performing work involving the preparation of Roadway design using local (State, County or City) or AASHTO standards
  • Project roles include planning development; urban and rural roadway design; freeway and interchange design; rights of way coordination and management; and public safety, all with a focus on quality
  • Full client engagement and responsibility for all aspects of project pursuit and development
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Transportation Project Engineer or Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage all phases of a project
  • Develop opportunity leads, project teams and coordination with the Infrastructure Client Development team to capture strategic projects
  • Develop project scopes and budgets, interfacing with and maintenance of clients, mentoring and development of junior staff and design/drafters, and development of project plans and schedules
  • Contribute to and assist in leading the strategic planning, development, and growth of the Ohio Transportation team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of progressive highway (ODOT) design experience, including PM experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Ohio PE license or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 10+ years of progressive highway (ODOT) design experience, including 5+ years of PM experience on ODOT projects
  • Experience working on large ODOT projects
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations
