Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and initiate corrective actions to return equipment to proper operating order
  • Perform industrial electrical activities such as wiring, wall outlets, and lighting
  • Perform welding, soldering, brazing operations
  • Operate shop equipment: drills, bench grinders, and warehouse facilities
  • Perform general repairs to the building and warehouse facilities
  • Perform inspections on equipment and facilities
  • Be able to complete plumbing and carpentry tasks
  • Understand boiler, chiller, and air compressor operations
  • Read and interpret blueprints and manuals
  • Order parts needed to complete tasks
  • Perform outside ground work
  • Capable of operating fork trucks and pallet jacks
  • Ability to move heavy objects
  • Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods of time
  • Must complete all work assignments in a safe manner with limited supervision

Requirements:

  • High school graduate/GED
  • Electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and carpentry skills
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a facility maintenance position
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Good problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Be a team player
