Position Overview
This role focuses on delivering therapeutic services to patients as per their individual requirements and medical guidance. The position also involves educating patients and caregivers, as well as coordinating necessary adaptive equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the extent of disabilities, establish treatment goals, and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Implement treatment strategies aimed at restoring optimal function and assess the effectiveness of interventions, adjusting as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations and treatments in accordance with departmental protocols and legal standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to rehabilitation staff, nursing personnel, and students regarding patient care and rehabilitation practices.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and contribute to program development.
  • Demonstrate productivity in line with departmental benchmarks.
  • Enhance professional skills through ongoing education and training, while exploring innovative patient care techniques.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited speech therapy program is required.
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate from an accredited speech therapy program is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist from ASHA is mandatory.
  • Valid Driver's License from the State of Michigan is required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days.
Work Environment
This position is part-time, with variable hours during weekdays. The clinics operate from early morning to early evening, providing flexibility in scheduling.
