Clinical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Clinical Support Specialist will provide clinical, administrative, and clerical support to ensure that physicians and advance practice nurses are supported, and patients are comfortable.
This role will be trained in providing medical support to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues who are learning to manage aspects of their mental illness/substance use recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients by checking vital signs, performing physical exams, and obtaining medical histories.
- Record findings and alert physicians to results.
- Provide patient care by assisting with mobility, removing clothing, and performing activities of daily living.
- Prepare patients for testing, treatment, and procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory samples.
Requirements:
This role requires a normal office environment with prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Normal range of hearing and manual dexterity are necessary to operate office equipment.
The Clinical Support Specialist will report to and perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Crisis Services.
Education:
Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent to qualify for this position. An associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
