Job Summary:

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility Center team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
  • Assess assigned patients and evaluate plans to include documentation of nursing care.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform appropriate patient tests and safely administer medications within the scope of practice.
  • Communicate plan of care in a timely manner to patient and family, as well as the appropriate team members, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
  • Excellent patient experience skills
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and to adapt to changing work demands and environment. The Registered Nurse 2 will be required to work weekend sessions as per schedule.
