Job Summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging and assisting in the daily routines of the ultrasound department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and assist in the daily routines of the ultrasound department.
  • Assist the RN and physician in the performance of interventional procedures.
  • Comply with the professional and ethical standards of the American Association of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Provide direct patient care in performing ultrasound examinations.
  • Maintain departmental equipment by following OEM guidelines and reporting equipment failure or concerns to departmental Manager and Biomed.
  • Follow P & P for infection control, universal precautions, and isolation procedures when required.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement and complete all required annual training and competencies.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited US program and be registered with ARDMS or Registry eligible.
  • Must be fluent in scanning all aspects of Ultrasound, including OB/GYN, Breast, Venous, Arterial, Abdomen, Pelvis, Soft tissue, TV, and Interventional procedures.
  • Must be able to work holidays per hospital schedule.
  • Looking for a candidate that embraces customer service and who can work with all facets of Healthcare providers.
  • Minimally 1 year of US experience in a variety of US exams (OB, Venous, Arterial, Abdomen, Breast, Interventional procedures).

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 12-hour weekend shifts, 6:30a-7p Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

This position is part of the LPN & Technical (CPH) union.
