The Culinary Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive their meals in a timely and efficient manner. This position is responsible for accurately taking meal orders, assembling food trays, and delivering meals while adhering to the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide information about meal options, taking their orders for upcoming meals while ensuring exceptional service standards are upheld.
- Assist patients in making suitable food selections and suggest alternatives when necessary; collaborate with the Dietitian as needed.
- Input menu choices into the dietary management system accurately.
- Gather patient feedback regarding food service and quality, and communicate any concerns to the supervisor or Dietitian.
- Prepare food trays for designated patients, ensuring portion control guidelines are followed.
- Deliver trays promptly and retrieve used trays for return to the kitchen after meal service.
- Handle food in compliance with health regulations and departmental policies.
- Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with the cleaning and sanitization of reusable kitchenware.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, recognizing that all listed responsibilities are essential functions of the role.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
