Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

The Charles River Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our clinical team and home-based programs through data collection, documentation, staff training, and attending Individualized Support Plan (ISP) meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, implement, and train data collection systems to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Assist in completing Individual's annual documentation, including graphing and summarizing data regularly.
  • Provide staff training on Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS), behavior plans, behavior guidelines, data collection, and other behavioral techniques.
  • Assist supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Guidelines.
  • Utilize evidence-based behavioral techniques and problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise.
  • Attend ISP meetings as needed and assist in behavioral crises that may occur.
  • Work with families, guardians, and residential staff regarding the behavioral needs of our participants.
  • Hold a valid Safety Care certification and maintain credentials annually.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation.
  • Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

Selected candidates will be required to complete the coursework to become certification-eligible within the first 30 days of starting the position. Once coursework is completed, the selected candidates must register and sit for the R.B.T. certification exam and pass within the following 30-day window. A qualified candidate must complete the certification process within their first 60 days or they will not be eligible for the position.
