Position Overview

Role Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in enhancing patient health and preventing illness. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver professional nursing care to patients who are acutely ill, recovering, or managing chronic conditions, as per the directives of the Medical Staff. Many RNs specialize as Medical-Surgical nurses, focusing on comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients and execute care duties tailored to the specific needs based on age and medical diagnosis.
  2. Engage in effective communication with Providers, Charge Nurses, and other team members regarding any changes in the patient's clinical status, including diagnostic results and symptoms.
  3. Respond promptly and accurately to any alterations in patient conditions or treatment responses.
  4. Perform general nursing tasks across various departments with appropriate supervision.
  5. Adhere to the Five Medication Rights to minimize the risk of medication errors.
  6. Develop a patient education plan based on identified learning needs and assess the effectiveness of the teaching, involving family or caregivers as necessary.
  7. Interact with patients, families, colleagues, and Providers with respect, dignity, and compassion.
  8. Recognize and address the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and their families or caregivers.
  9. Demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, providing age-appropriate care to the patient population served.
  10. Document patient care in accordance with established standards and policies.
  11. Participate in the orientation of new personnel and engage in available in-service training.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 12-hour shifts with rotating days. No on-call requirements.
