ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will oversee Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Medical Assistants within a psychiatric residential treatment facility focused on adolescent care. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices, coordinating training programs, and addressing various professional and administrative challenges.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Oregon.

Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with a background in adolescent residential treatment or psychiatric nursing. A combination of relevant experience and training that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills will also be considered. Supervisory experience is advantageous.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

CERTIFICATIONS: Current Registered Nurse license in Oregon.

DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must have a valid Oregon driver's license with a clean record, insurable under Looking Glass auto insurance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care for all clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations.
  2. Act as a liaison between Looking Glass Community Services and the broader medical community, including hospitals.
  3. Maintain detailed medical records for each client, encompassing treatment plans, medication administration records, progress notes, and periodic reviews as necessary.
  4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands for various tasks, and communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching are necessary, and the employee may need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
